HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Kirby and his wife Sally moved back to Indiana in July of 2002. Kirby’s vision was to start a church in the Brownsburg area that would be committed to the faithful exposition of God’s Word. He had much help from longtime friend Brad Long and his family. The Myers’, Long’s, and five other families met for the first time late in July of 2002 in the living room of Randy and Monica Johnson’s home. It was then that Kirby shared his vision for the church and asked for a commitment to this work from each of the 7 families. They met one more time in August to prepare for the launch of this church ministry.

On September 1, 2002, the Bible Church of Brownsburg began. The church met for the first few weeks at Eaton Hall in Brownsburg. Cardinal Elementary School in Brownsburg would then become the home of the Bible Church for the next 2 ½ years. In March of 2005, the church began meeting in downtown Brownsburg in a warehouse that was renovated for Sunday worship services. In August of 2005, the Lord graciously provided an existing church facility, complete with many furnishings on a parcel of land that will allow for future growth as the Lord blesses. The church continues to meet there every Sunday to sing praise to the Lord Jesus Christ and to receive instruction from His Word.
